Trained Hospice volunteers offer Bereavement services (phone calls, letters, and companionship) to assist a client’s family and caregivers in coping with grief experienced after a client’s death. Referrals are made to professional agencies when appropriate.
Hope through healings
The Hope Through Healing bereavement mailing series is designed to reach out to those in mourning. Mailings are sent out at intended intervals, over a thirteen month time span.
Support Groups are provided to individuals in the Kodiak community. Groups are open to those suffering loss and experiencing grief of a loved one. Support Groups are offered periodically throughout the year.
Our lending library is open to all community members. We have many books for adults, teens and children, plus DVDs, CDs and pamphlets. The lending library can be found in the Hospice office, located within Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center (PKIMC). There is no charge to borrow items.
